Exams Over!!

Okay, it has been really long since i blogged, but JONCEL IS BACK!! Today i going blog a short post on my exam week.
So anyway, last week we had exam. Time really flies past, so I wasn't really ready but it was average. So on Monday, I walked in like a freak. I was like very scared that i might fail my Science. ( PS: I almost did, I am not proud of it. ) Just for extra information, Science is my worst subject. The paper was hard, did not really understand the questions they were asking us. I put in short answers, but it was still time-wasting! I did not have time to check as i finished on the spot. ( Maybe not, by the time my hand recovered from its cramp, the time was up. ) I was so tensed that when i reached home, I freaked out and did Maths instead of Chinese.

Tuesday passed quickly without exams ( English not in CA2 ) So on Wednesday, I sat my normal Chinese. Not too bad, considering that I took 1 hr 30 mins to finish and still had 10 mins to check. When we were finally free to go for recess, I felt really energetic and ran around like a mad cow. But I learned not to because the Maths teacher piled us up with homework and it was impossible to revise unless i could finish it. What could I do, be silent and cope with it lor!

Thursday was nice, Maths was 40 mins for Section A, then recess. It was so little time, I left one question blank. After the short recess, we went on with Section B which took 1hr 40 mins. Again, I finished on the spot because I did not skip questions and was thinking like mad. I was so happy when it ended because I think it was the hardest paper ever. ( Mr. M even said it was challenging. )

Friday was not bad, sat for Higher Chinese. Mind you, it was easy ( Between you and me ) because there was only Section B ( Which was actually enough ) and no OAS. I hate comprehension, I really do! When exam was over, we played soccer at BB court crazily. The next period teacher was Maths, and how I pity our teacher! We were so worked he couldn't control us. But in the end, I think he gave up doing that. ( A load of codswallop from me. )

Anyway, I recieved my marks. Science : 56.5 ( Includes practical test ) Maths : 74.5 - 75.5 ( Spotted a mistake in correcting today, got one extra mark ) Chinese : 69-70 ( Got minused one mark by teacher because she spotted a mistake in correcting ) Higher Chinese : 44/60 = 73.3. Isn't it bad? But I am going to work harder for SA2, believe me!

But getting marks are not good for everyone. Take my friends for instance. One got HC 90 but got two 60 and got banned from computer. The other one got quite bad and goodness knows what happen to him ( He won't tell me )

Anyways, Stay positive about improvement!!
Signing off,

NDP08

NDP'08 Reflection
When we first reached the venue of this year's NE show, where P5 around Singapore primary schools were invited, I was tremedously excited although it was raining. Luckily, there was a poncho in the funpack bag that we recieved. Besides the poncho, there was also crackers, drinks, a cap and other cool NDP'08 souvenirs.
At Marina Bay, it was packed with adults and students. It was very noisy as the people were all complaining about the bad weather before the show. But once the show started, all eyes were attracted to the floating platform.
The show started with the choir singing a song while some dancers came out with a group of wheelchair-bound performers. They put up a fabulous performance dancing with the handicaps. I personally thought that i could not dance as well as them.
The next performance came as a surprise. Jeeps came out from the side of the stage. I was guessing that the people in the vehicles were celebrities, and I was quite right. Out came Adrian Pang, Jean Danker, and two other people i did not know. They totally changed the mood. They were sucessful in trying to get the audience to participate in some of the cheers.
Not long after, parachuters dropped down from an aircraft. It was spectacular. Then came my favourite part; five military aircrafts, The Black Knights, swerved across the sky. I could not take my eyes off the F16 planes from the RSAF. Immediately after the flying performance, a wakeboarding performing attracted me again as they were very entertaining.
After all the exciting performances, the other performances seemed throughly dull, though the singing and dancing coordinated quite well. Just before the firework display, it started to rain again. Nevertheless, the firework display was breathtaking. Colours shot into the sky ; Red, Yellow, Green and much more. The show ended with a patriotic singing of the National Anthem and Pledge. We headed home, Tired and wet, but with and urge to tell our family members what we had just seen.
I think that this year's NE show was very exciting. I enjoyed myself throughly. I wish I will be able to attend another of such excellent show in the near future.
