Youth Day Weekend, 5-7 July 2008.
Youth Day Weekend, 5-8 July 2008.
On Saturday, we went to Tiong Bahru shopping mall to eat breakfast at Burger King. There we had a sumptuous breakfast. We wanted to get a haircut, buy books etc. after breakfast but they were all closed. Even the cinema, which we had planned to watched "Get Smart" was not open. So we went to the supermarket to get some things for my party on Sunday. Then we wanted to go to the cinema to check again, but my mother suddenly remembered she had bought hotdogs, so we had to go home instead. At home we dwelled for a while, rested, then went to my new house to check on the progress. Not bad, tiles almost done, cleaning of the debris is good, and my room looks awfully small, but the rest was superb. After that, we went for dinner. After a while, we set off for my gran's house. We ate fruits, and watched tv, and I read a book there. When we got home, it was about 9.30 and we went off to sleep.
On Sunday, we went to Bukit Permai and ate Lor Mee. My father is crazy about that! So after we ate that, we went to 7-11 for Slurpees and played swing. At about a hour to twelve, my father brought me to Queenstown shopping mall. At first I thought we were going to a 36 metre high bridge, but it turned out that my parents wanted to buy me a skateboard for my birthday! I was so surprised and happy. Thanks, Pa and Ma! and we went to a void deck to test out.
My father actually fell down on a try! Oops! By the time we decided to go home, my uncle and aunt and grandmother were already at my house preparing for my birthday party. When we got back home, we played PS3 brought by my uncle for a while, then my other aunts and uncles came. One of my friends I had invited also arrived on time. But when we decided to go down to the BBQ Pit, I was shocked to know that not much people actually had prepared swimming costumes!! But in the end, my baby cousin Alfred and his father, me and my other cousin. After we bathed, we sat down to eat a delicious BBQued dinner. I cut the cake before we went back to my house. When we were at my house, well fed, we played 5 player PS3 and PS2, UEFA Uero 2008 and Pro evolution soccer 2008 respectively.
At about 9, some of the guests had gone home, including my baby cousin Alfred and others. We played Subbuteo, a game that i have mentioned in the last post, a game that involves flicking players around a mat. We had fun anyway, laughing as we played. But as we moved on, everyone had to go home, so we cancelled the match. After the guests had left, my friend Timothy was escorted by me and my father to the bus stop. The day ended with a fabulous sleep.
On Monday, I woke up at 9.30. I ate Beehoon Mee. Delicious!! Then I went to my gran's house. At 12pm, we ate Mcdonald's for lunch. As me and my mum and bro seperated ways, me and my gran went back to her house. As soon as I reached there, I camped on the sofa and played Gameboy. When my mum and brother picked me up and we went home, it was 2pm. At 4pm, we went out to consult a Fengshui Master. He said I needed water in my life and that I am a Don't-Care-Just-Do person. That person also claim to be world-reknowned, i doubt! We went to Bugis Junction for Ajisen after that. Then we set off home. At home, I did some homework and played some game.
Today, Tuesday, is my actual birthday. Before I went to school, my father bombarded me with 'Happy Birthdays". I like it but a little too many happy birthdays! Then after school, when I went home, I played some Gameboy and did some homework. When we went out at 5.15pm, we went to pick my father up at his office. After that we went for dinner at Marina Square. When we got there, I found out that for a celebration, they went to one of my favourite restaurant, Pizza Hut, for dinner! But what was most surprising was that when we were about to go, the lights went out. Suddenly, instead of thunder, a birthday song came out of the speaker. Wow!
It seemed that they knew that today was my birthday and they gave me a FOC birthday cake. I was held in suspense and for a while I thought my parents had planned all this. But it turned out that they accidentally heard and decided to suprise me. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my dinner at Pizza Hut and I think that it is a great place to eat as they are so heartwarming. Now, when I am blogging, and next time, I will remember this as the birthday that even people that I do not know completely are celebrating for me. Thanks for the heartwarming welcome, Pizza Hut @ Marina Square!
