Hello! Went for soccer training today. A lot of shouting and screaming, although I wasn't even the captain of the team. The team consisted of me, Hui Ming, Zhang Yuan, Jarrel, Jiang Ling, Davin, Jonathan Lim and Yu Chin. Our team was morally good, but we had no stamina. We played all four games at the big field! It was tiring, and we wore out by the time it was time for us to go back to the school.

We played 4 games, including the finals, but we lost. The first game was with the Whites, with Kay Shin, Sherman, Yu Howe and Matthew. We drew 0-0, with equal strength, at the 50 yard big field.

Next, we won 3-0 against the Yellow team, with me scoring a debut goal after missing school training for about four weeks or so. I scored by tapping the ball past a fellow friend, Shi Jun, who was struggling to keep the ball out of his net.

Our talented striker, Zhang Yuan, scored a goal past Shi Jun when I crossed with my weaker foot, my right foot, to him to tap it in. Then in the last minute or so, Hui Ming confirmed our win with a destructive chip past the keeper's head that was inevitable to be caught, and we claimed the easy win.

The next game came with almost the same result as the past one. It was a flopping 3-1 win, and the Reds had Andre, Ryan Lim and Goh Khiam Wee. probably the star goalkeeper in our team, Khiam Wee featured in the recent P.6 tournament. I scored a goal by swipping the ball past him when Hui Ming passed a ball to Zhang Yuan but he failed to make contact with it. It was probably the best goal that I have scored.

Probably in the 10th minute, I struck the right post that I could have converted into a beautiful curving goal, but Zhang Yuan had no mercy and tapped it in conveniently. Again, Hui Ming struck a 15 yard goal into the goal at lightning speed, looping the ball into the top left net that was impossible for Khiam Wee to even brush the ball away.

Finally, we reached the finals. We were to play with the Whites again, but unfortunately, we could not keep up with them that time as we were already as flat as a tyre, and unfortunately let in three goals, with mistakes from Davin, letting in goals from Kay Shin, Yu Howe and another guy which I forgot his name.

I felt a stinging pain after the games as Yu Howe had accidentally bumped into me. I am planning to lay off soccer as I have a Coerver 5v5 tournament on Saturday at Tampines Safra, and I might be able to clinch the captain position.

All in all, it was both a wonderful and pain experience, as I felt a sense of achievement after helping my team to win the two games, but I had not enjoyed the pain that stung me at my thigh and my ankle.

Thanks for reading my blog,
Joncel.
